The caves themselves aren't that dangerous The biggest differences to the surface is, that it's always dark and there aren't as many resources While you can still get grass, twigs, and food in the caves it's only possible in certain locations So, you should still prepare enough for your trip ahead of time For light, a lantern is enough A miner hat is good too, since it frees up your hand

Spelunking is a replacement effect, a land stating that it enters tapped is also a replacement effect (only if the land states it, it doesn't work for lands that would normally enter untapped but enter with an effect that says to put them into play tapped like Grazer) Because there are two replacement effects you get to choose one
