I'm late to the party as usual, but I picked up a Nino-Mute a couple of months ago For having to play in loud amplified environments where the thump is important, I figured why not give a try So far I played one gig with it, and it worked great with one exception - the G string It was hard

Long story short - I'm getting heavily back into playing bass guitar (in a rock band) after focusing primarily on upright bass for about 13 years While I used to do all of my own setup work in the past, due to hand, wrist, and elbow issues - I'm not much for fussing with it myself much anymore

I have major GAS and I'm starting a thread So it goes Here's what I know: The Starfire is a 30 75" scale but needs medium scale strings No worries, I play LaBella LTFs and they come in medium scale The nut is 1 5" which is perfect for me It's gigantic but sounds thunderous Questions
